_*How it all started...*_

In December of 2002 I brought my precious baby daughter home from the hospital in a darling little cloth diaper and haven't looked back. When she was about six months old I began sewing diapers and shortly thereafter I opened for retail sale. My experiences as a mother of a heavy wetting, skinny little girl led me to favor the performance of side-snapping, fitted diapers and wool covers. As time has passed, my family has become more and more eco-conscious and this has influenced my diaper making. I now only select fabrics that are eco-friendly, USA milled to support our local economy, and natural (undyed, untreated). I construct my diapers with external soaker pads for thorough cleaning and quick drying time. While reusable diapers are heads above disposable, diapers that are comprised of synthetic fabrics or require a great deal of energy to wash and dry are not as eco-friendly as Clover™ Brand diapers. If you wish to use my diapers on your baby but are challenged with initial cost, email me to discuss options. I am committed to making it work for you.

_*Why we choose organic...*_

The cotton industry is a major player in the contamination of our environment through the use of insecticides, pesticides, and herbicides. When we choose organic cotton we are choosing a fiber that has been grown without these toxic chemicals- chemicals that are dangerous for plantlife, animals, and YOU! In addition, organic farming cultivates crops in a way that replenishes the earth, rather than eroding and depleting the soil we depend on. Want to read more about the beauty of organic cotton? The "Organic Trade Association":http://www.ota.com/organic/mt/organic_cotton.html has a wonderful webpage with fact and figures that expresses why organic cotton farming is a must for our environment and our future.
